We were pleased to host an Australian tourist group recently at Sandstone led by Paul Rollason together with their Tour Guide, Johan Botha.

One of our favourite cars at Sandstone is the 1934 Morris 10 which had a partial restoration some years back but has now been completed to the highest standard by Lukas Nel. Yes! that Lukas Nel of steam locomotive fame and a man of many talents.

The unseasonal weather over the last weekend produced some wonderful views of the snow-capped Maluti Mountains from Sandstone.
We had some good reactions to our story of the coaches at Ladybrand. Thanks to enthusiast, Franciscus Boshoff, and SAR coach expert, Peter Stow we were given access some South African Transport Services coach sales records and both coaches were sold to private owners in 1985. Both are ex Blue Train/Drakensberg Express.

Vintage Spirit magazine from the UK has given us some excellent coverage on the upcoming Cherry Festival event at Sandstone. We look forward to welcoming some UK visitors to the warmer climate of South Africa in November.
