We were recently honoured with a visit by the Ferrari Club of South Africa (SEFAC). A large turnout of these beautiful machines proved that the roads to Sandstone are now in working order! Our visitors kindly made their cars available for photography as well as a group shot after they had enjoyed a safe journey to Sandstone and a tour of the Heritage Collection.

The Waterloo Boy was the first model tractor that John Deere released to the farming community.

Sandstone has owned one for over 20-years. It was however in need of a total overhaul and cosmetic upgrade, which has now been completed. It was last overhauled in 2005 when we acquired it and this link also gives a short history of the Waterloo Boy..

We recently ran a story about the AY Hoppers we sold to the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway (WW&F) and the Edaville Railway in Maine, USA. The units were delivered directly to the WW&F which is some distance from the Edaville Railway. Following on from our previous post (https://www.sandstone-estates.com/index.php/railway-heritage-58/2ft-narrow-gauge/3769-the-usa-rolling-stock-arrives) we received a mail from the Chairman of the WW&F, David Buczkowski, detailing the move of the wagons destined for the Edaville Railway.
