KwaZulu-Natal
Steam Trains and Mini Trains - One of the few places on earth where
a by-gone era can be re-lived including the sights, sounds and smells
of the old steam train times - KwaZulu-Natal is home to several
of these special trains. The Umgeni Steam Railway, for example,
runs trips from Kloof up to Inchanga on the first and last Sunday
of each month at 08h30 and 12h30.
The stations are set up to offer food to the hungry travellers,
or take your own picnic baskets.

The
main aim of Reefsteamers is based around preservation of steam locomotives,
they run day trips for public at large and when they have an opportunity
we run longer tours for steam enthusiasts to generate revenue to plough
it back into the preservation of locomotives and rolling stock. Click

The aim of this site will be to showcase the South African collectors
and their work. I intend to initially do this by posting pictures
of engines at shows that I attend - mainly in the southern Gauteng/Vaal
Triangle area of South Africa as well engines belonging to friends
and my small collection. Future plans include pages dedicated to
specific collectors and their work. With this in mind please feel
free to contact me if you would like to be included. Remember that
I am not only looking for the "big time" collectors -
even if you only have one or two engines I will make space for you.
Let's show the world what we do! Click
