We finished the month with 2400 ha of wheat planted. Due to a shortage of some inputs we fell short of our 2500 ha target but will of course add that to the summer crop rotation. Our own JD 1780 planter completed a 1000 Ha without difficulty and germination has been excellent. Our contractor on the other hand ran in to some difficulties and had to switch planters. We are currently evaluating germination in order to see whether there was any negative impact on seed placement. In the event only a small area may be affected. Our arable team is currently bush clearing and preparing our lands for summer planting which is now only 8 weeks away.
