Boiler washouts

 

Derrick and Kevin were busy with boiler washout on the Fowler roller and Robey portable.

 

Ratanga No. 6

 

Here Wouter is busy welding the door frame for the Ratanga 6 coach. After fitting the doors to the main frame he fitted the wood in the doors.

Here the one bogie was removed and replaced with one that is in better condition.

  B-bogie preparation and loading for export

 

We had to remove the one B-bogie’s side panels so that both could fit in the container.

We loaded all the side panels on a trolley and moved it to where Henk could load it with the forklift into the other B-bogie.

The truck with the container arrived on the farm and we were ready to load.

After securing every thing in the container the B-bogies were on their way to their new destination.

 

Cleaning of storage area

 

 

We started with the cleaning and tidying of the store area in the back of the steam shed.
