Modern Farming
|
A neighbouring farm has been acquired in order to house the Sandstone Heritage Trust collection of tractors, combine harvesters, farm implements, threshing machines, tools and rare breeds. The farm known as Lagerplaats is 7-kms from the main complex in particularly beautiful scenery in the Eastern Free State in South Africa. The object is to relocate a cross-section of Sandstone's older vintage agricultural machinery and implements in an original setting adjacent to working lands where they will be used on a regular basis.
Chris Wilson and Wilfred Mole moved the first items this week. The pictures tell the story. |
