Just in from Jeremy Sait, who joins Sandstone Estates as Arable Farm Manager on 1st March, comes this article on an interesting harvesting day held at Quambatook near Charlton. Jeremy adds the following comments:
"Just reading through the Weekly Times and saw this article, thought you might be interested this is only 50 km from Charlton (home) my father used to sell fertiliser in this area. See you soon"
The line up is similar to what Sandstone Estates put on as a photographic special after our Harvest Day weekend was washed out on 1st/2nd January 2006. However, the Aussie line-up is bigger and more impressive.
Nonetheless Sandstone Estates has already decided this is the year of the Harvester so we expect to make steady progress towards developing a historically significant line-up of vintage harvesting equipment.
