HTN 166 - The first item ever acquired by the Sandstone Heritage Trust

Many people ask us what was the first item ever acquired by the Sandstone Heritage Trust. In fact it is a 1950 Land Rover Series I which has been in the ownership of the Trust, or at least the Trust's benefactors, since 1961. It is still in daily use as these pictures will show. It is a working vehicle at Sandstone Estates in the Eastern Free State. It has great sentimental value to the Trust because it has been in our possession since before many of the people who work on the estate were born.
